Everyday, healthy and adoptable dogs and cats are killed at the Animal Care Services shelter and many more are turned loose on the streets by their owners. While the issue is multifaceted and overwhelming, this is a problem that we can solve together.
By adopting, fostering and volunteering, you can really save the life of a dog or cat whose life depends on it. Dog's like Aaron, don't have to condemned to death by a system that has neglected to prioritize his wellbeing.

Mass killings of any species is not a long term solution to any problem. And yet, this year ACS has lowered it's live-release goal, making killing more dogs and cats "part of the plan".
$26 Million ACS Budget
This year ACS has a budget of $26.2 Million. Why was ACS granted use of more taxpayer money if on smaller budgets, ACS failed to show effective or desirable results?
